It can feel like a big step to come for counselling.  Perhaps you have suffered in silence for many years, or perhaps something difficult has happened in your life recently.  Talking to someone who is not directly involved is freeing and unburdening.  It can be life-changing.

There are many reasons why people come to work with me.  Some recent examples include:

  • anxiety

  • depression

  • low self-esteem

  • childhood abuse

  • bereavement

  • self-harm

  • job loss

  • bullying

  • addiction

  • divorce

  • suicidal feelings

  • wanting to stop repeating the same unhealthy patterns.

Due to the Corvid-19 restrictions, I am working online by videolink via Zoom instead of face to face for the foreseeable future.  If you prefer, I offer telephone counselling too.  Zoom is easy to use.  I would send you a link which you would click at your session time and we will see  and hear each other on our computer screens.

The most effective aspect of therapy is the relationship that you have with your counsellor.  It is important to choose a counsellor that feels like someone you want to work with.  Please phone or email me to find out more about the way that I work, or just to see if I seem like the right counsellor for you.  Click on Contact a the top of this page for information on how to get in touch.
